A Better Choice

Helps participants learn how to define domestic abuse, identify its various forms (e.g. physical, psychological, sexual, and economic abuse), understand how it affects adult and child witnesses and survivors, recognize that violence is a choice, and identify respectful ways of communicating.

The following course offerings are available. An eight-week class series which requires a $60 Assessment and $20 Orientation Call prior to class enrollment. The fee for this eight-week class is $200 at time of Registration. Participants requesting the 26-week class series will be eligible for participation following completion of the initial eight-week class series at a cost of $25 per class, due 24hrs prior to each class. Please note that the initial eight-week class counts toward the 26-week requirements. 1:1 classes are offered at an increased cost of $400 for the eight-class series and $50 for each additional class. These classes can be offered both in-person and virtually but do require the prior approval of the participants referral source to confirm eligibility.

Anger Choices

Helps participants learn how to reduce and eliminate self-defeating and angry reactions. In these sessions, the participant will explore what defines anger and how to choose reactions that are less harmful to self and others. 1-Day Intensive series (6 hours), with $200 due at time of registration. Additionally, a 1:1 six-class series is available upon request, with $300 due at time of registration.

Best Moms

This 6-week course will explore topics such as child growth, parent/child communication skills, positive discipline, helping children develop positive self-esteem, and dealing with stress. Cost: Fee of $35 due upon registration.

Best Dads

This 6-week course will explore topics such as discipline and creative play, fathering sons and daughters, teamwork with spouse and co-parent, communication and problem-solving, and balancing work and fathering. Cost: Fee of $35 due upon registration.

Partners in Parenting

Partners in Parenting (formally known as Transparenting) is a one-time, 4-hour parent seminar designed to teach effective parenting during divorce or parental separation transitions. The course addresses children’s developmental and emotional needs and emphasizes each parent’s responsibility to provide a nurturing and non-threatening environment for the child. Topics include: talking to your children about divorce, emotional reactions, guidelines for helping children adjust, new family structures, types of parenting relationships, establishing a co-parenting relationship, the effect of violence on children, changes in your economic and living situation, and involvement in the legal system. This is an educational program and not a counseling session. Parents will not be expected to discuss personal problems. Children do NOT attend. The fee is $150 for a one-time class.

Scheduling Policy


We understand that situations arise that could force you to reschedule or cancel a class.

For TransParenting Classes: You are allowed to reschedule a class once. A $10 processing fee will be charged for all transfer requests and cancellations prior to the registered class date. If attendance is not fulfilled after the first rescheduling, you will forfeit your spot in the class as well as your payment for the class. Clients who “no show” will forfeit the $75 class fee.

Certificate reprint: A $10 processing fee will be charged to reprint a certificate for verification of attendance.
