Marie Collins is the Executive Director of The Family Tree, where she leads efforts to strengthen children, families, and communities through counseling, education, prevention, and advocacy.
A Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Addictions Counselor, and Neuro-Somatic Intelligence Practitioner, Marie has dedicated more than 20 years to advancing mental health and strengthening communities across Louisiana. Before joining The Family Tree, she served for 10 years with the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office, where she developed a deep commitment to trauma-informed care and expanding access to mental health services.
Marie is a TEDx speaker and frequently presents on mental health, trauma, and, leadership. She is passionate about helping people and organizations build resilience, foster meaningful connection, and create lasting change.
Marie has been married to her husband, since 2003, and together they have two sons. Outside of work, she enjoys walking in nature, growing a jungle of houseplants, and painting the beauty she finds along the way.
Toni Bailey
Director of Operations

Toni Bailey joined The Family Tree in 2016 as Director of Operations, bringing more than two decades of leadership and operational experience in government, law enforcement, and nonprofit organizations. Throughout her career, she has built a reputation for developing efficient systems, strengthening organizational operations, and leading teams with professionalism, accountability, and compassion.
As Director of Operations, Toni oversees the agency’s daily operations, including human resources, finance, facilities, information technology, compliance, and organizational administration. She works closely with leadership to ensure the organization operates efficiently while supporting staff in delivering high-quality services to the individuals, children, and families The Family Tree serves throughout Louisiana.
Known for her honesty, integrity, and servant leadership, Toni is passionate about creating a strong organizational foundation that allows others to thrive. She believes that when people are supported, empowered, and held to high standards, they can make a lasting difference in the lives of those they serve.
Outside of her professional role, Toni has been married to her firefighter husband for more than 30 years. They have two adult children and two beloved fur babies. Together, they own Captain Coby Cajun Cooking, a family business that reflects their shared passion for community, service, and bringing people together through food.
Kristen Pellegrin
Operations Supervisor
Kristen joined The Family Tree team in January 2020 and currently serves as the Operations Supervisor. In her role, she helps oversee the day-to-day operations of the organization and works to support both staff and clients by keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes.
Outside of work, Kristen loves spending time with her family and friends and, most of all, being a mother. Kristen believes that one of the most rewarding parts of life is having the opportunity to make a positive impact on others, even in small ways. She is passionate about being helpful, supporting those around her, and contributing to the work The Family Tree does in the community.
Desiree Boudreaux
Support Coordinator
Desiree’ joined The Family Tree in August of 2025 and looks forward to providing support to families in need. She also is very excited to support the counselors and administration ensuring seamless day to day operations. She is a dedicated professional with over 13 years of experience working in early childhood education. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated a deep commitment to fostering developmental growth in young children and supporting their families.
Outside of her career, Desiree’ is a proud mother of two college-aged daughters and has been married for 29 years. Her personal experiences as a parent and partner have shaped her understanding of the importance of nurturing and balancing family and professional life
Jenny Leger
Support Coordinator
I am a lifetime resident of Lafayette. I have been working in the addictions field for about 20 years. I started as a receptionist at an inpatient substance abuse treatment center. Through the years I learned admissions, utilization review, and billing. Billing is where I thrive. I am passionate about fighting for clients to get the best possible care. I have worked in both public and private facilities and each have taught me vaulable skills in life and work.
I have a teenage son who is my world. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I enjoy reading immensely and have a sunflower obsession.
Amber Savoy
Lead Support Coordinator
Amber Savoy is the Lead Support Coordinator at The Family Tree; a title that’s really just fancy talk for being an executive assistant. During her time at The Family Tree, Amber has grown from providing direct services to families in the community to supporting the organization’s leadership. From coordinating and marketing, special events, community outreach, and executive support, Amber enjoys bringing organization, creativity, and a little humor to every project. She loves finding ways to connect people with The Family Tree’s mission and helping turn big ideas into meaningful impact for the families we serve.
Outside of work, Amber enjoys spending time with her husband and their two daughters. Whether she’s reading a good book, working in the garden, or simply enjoying the outdoors, she appreciates life’s simple moments. She believes that strong families build strong communities.
