Mental Health First Aid is a skills-based training course that teaches participants how to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental illness and substance use disorders. Taught by The Family Tree’s Clinical Director, Breanna Spriggs, LPC-S, you’ll learn how to:
- Recognize common signs and symptoms of mental health challenges
- Approach and support someone in crisis
- Use a proven action plan (ALGEE)
- Connect people to appropriate professional help
- Reduce stigma and increase confidence when helping others
This class is great for many groups and individuals, including:
