This initiative strives to make reading fun and brings awareness of the different types of ways early literacy can be achieved. The Family Tree Healthy Start Program’s goal through this initiative is to educate caregivers on the importance of literacy, conversation, and the 30 million word gap that exists for children who do not have opportunities to read and talk with caregivers on a daily basis.
